“An In-Depth Analysis Of Hip Hop Music: Why Is It So Great?”

Hip hop is a culture and art form that has been present since the 1970s. Hip hop music is made up of four elements: Rapping, DJing, breaking, and graffiti. Hip hop is said to have developed as way for people in low income neighborhoods to describe their harsh surroundings and express their deep emotions through music and poetry. Hip hop is not just a genre of music, but rather a culture with its own language, art, clothing styles, and subcultures. The hip hop culture was born in the South Bronx of New York City in the 1970s.

What is hip hop music?

Hip Hop is a music genre that rose in popularity in the 1970s. It originated in New York City, and was influenced by Jamaican dancehall, funk, and soul music. Hip Hop lyrics are typically about urban life and social issues, although they can also be lighthearted or celebratory. The purpose of the genre is to provide an outlet for young people to express themselves in an open environment.

Hip Hop is often characterized by four key elements: rapping, sampling, scratching, and beatboxing. It’s usually accompanied by an electronic drum machine.

The History of Hip hop music

Today’s hip hop is one of the most popular genres in the world. Its popularity continues to spread globally, and many people are taking great interest in its origins. Hip hop has been a major influence for many people over the years, especially for today’s artists.

Hip Hop originated in New York City during the 1970s and 1980s. It developed as a new musical style that was influenced by R&B, soul, funk, and disco music. The genre first gained popularity through block parties that were held on streets and public parks in New York City. MCing or rapping skills were often showcased.

Hip hop music has changed a lot over the years. The genre developed in the 1970s, and was heavily influenced by jazz, funk, and disco. It grew in popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with artists like Run-DMC, NWA, 2pac and Biggie Smalls. The genre is known for its focus on lyricism, often using rhyming schemes along with complex metaphors and a variety of other writing techniques.

Hip Hop’s cultural impact

Hip hop is an art form, a culture, and a world-wide business. It has influenced the way people dress, speak, and even the way they think. Hip hop has also changed the music industry in many ways by impacting and influencing other genres of music such as pop, rock, EDM and more.

In this article lets cover how hip hop has influenced all of these things and more. Also discuss how much money there is to be made in hip hop, how it’s been used to teach children about science and math. And how it’s helped impoverished.

Hip Hop music is undeniably a cultural movement, but it’s also a major industry that has affected the world in many ways. The culture of hip hop has brought us:

1. Graffiti and street art

2. Breakdancing and street dance

3. MCing and rapping

4. DJing and turntablism

5. Beatboxing and vocal percussion sounds

6. Sample-based music production techniques

7. Rap music videos and MTV’s influence on the genre

Hip Hop in the 90’s and 2000’s

A few days ago I listened to a song by “Outkast” called “Ms. Jackson.” It was released in 2000 and the lyrics are about a man who is really sad because his baby momma left him for another man and he is trying to keep it together, so he can raise his son without any fuss.

As we listened to the song, we could not help but reflect upon how much Hip Hop has changed over the years, and how these songs tell us a lot about our culture.

Hip hop has become a broad term suggesting the culture of hip-hop music and urban lifestyle. This is most evident in the fact that these days hip hop is used to describe an entire genre of music that covers a range of styles and sub genres.

Genres include:

Jazz rap, G-funk, Funk carioca, Latin hip hop, Alternative hip hop, Southern hip hop, Hardcore rap & Lovers rock.

To start off, hip hop is not dead. It’s not going anywhere any time soon. Hip Hop is at its best when it’s free-flowing and when musicians are able to take chances and experiment with their music.

That being said, I personally believe that a lot of this “mumble rap” or “trap” that is being played on the radio these days gets old very fast. Artists like Kendrick Lamar, J Cole and Nas are the few that I listen to regularly.

My favorite artists and hip hop songs

Eminem featuring Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie”

NAS sung New York state of mind

Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright”

Flo Rida featuring Sia, “Wild Ones”

Kanye West’s “Touch the Sky”

We are coming very soon with our next genre of music, stay tuned. Let’s hip hop till then.
