Flute Maestro Pt HariPrasad Chaurasia

“Pt HariPrasad Chaurasia Famous Indian Flute Maestro”

Flute & Lord Krishna both are inseparable in India. Similarly a legend of music who is associated with flute , Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia. The classical flautist is an eminent music director also. He worked by making pairs with several music geniuses like Santoor  maestro Shivkumar Sharma being called Shiv-Hari , with Violin player Bhubaneswar Misra  the duo  renowned as Bhuban- Hari and given lots of popular melodious musical notes for Indian movies.

As Shiv-Hari  they made music for movies like Silsila, Vijay, Chandni, Parampara, Faasle, Darr all are musically hit. Bhuban – Hari duo created some magical Oriya tracks in some Oriya film like Samaya, Anuraga & so on. He also worked with other legendary personalities like Zakir Hussain , Brij Bhusan Kabra , Jan Garbarek and created few awesome musical notes.

In Rotterdam Music Conservatory in Netherlands he serves as an artistic director in World Music Department.

Pt HariPrasad Chaurasia owns 2 Music Academies in India to train on flute classically. One of it is situated in Mumbai ,another in Bhubaneswar  both named as Vrindavana Gurukul.

The memorable Bansuri  player  was born on 1st July 1938 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He started taking Vocal training then switched over to Flute training ,aft 8 long years rigorous training he took a job in All India Radio, Cuttack, Odisha in 1957.

There are so many awards and prestigious accolades he got in his lifetime for the awesome work he done till now with the magic of music. Few are-Sangeet Natak Academy-1984,Padma Bhushan-1992, Padma Vibhushan-2000.
