4th August 2024 is the 95th birth anniversary of our ever youth mesmerizing Indian playback singer Abhas Kumar Ganguly aka Kishore Kumar. None of the music lovers in India is left to know about him and his extraordinary talents as a creative awesome singer and an actor with the pinch of a comic blend, music director, lyricist, writer, director & producer.

The Generation singer was born on 4th August 1929, In Khandwa, currently in Madhya Pradesh, India, in a Bengali family as the youngest of 4 siblings, notably, they are none other than Ashok Kumar, Sati Devi, and Anoop Kumar. The mood changer rather than mood creator rule breaker in the heart of every Indian generation by generation. He may have started his career as a chorus singer at Bombay Talkies.“Marne Ki Duayein Kyu Maangu” from the movie Ziddi (1948), was his first solo. His first Bengali song with melody queen Geeta Dutt, the song was Sundari-Lo Sundari from the movie Samar(1950).

Kishore Kumar has been special with his expertise in creating the perfect mood for any intense song like “Tum bin Jaun Kahan”, “Zindagi ka Safar”, “Tere Bina Zindagi”, and many more. His yodeling was a remarkable specialization as well as an improvisation of him. In some songs with these two powerful specializations, he has outshined other singers like Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar or Legend Mohd. Rofi.

In number approx around 2678 songs the Versatile legend sang with 110 different Music Directors in Hindi only throughout his lifetime including himself as a music composer. Kishore sang 563 songs with R D Burman. The Duo created some immortal numbers. Previously S.D.Burman created perfect tunes for Kishore Kumar to reach the top. He got 8 Filmfare for Best Playback Singer male which initiated with “Roop Tera Mastana” from Rajesh Khanna & Sharmila Tagore starrer Aradhana. The rebellious, funny, outstanding performer will still be remembered by every Indian with every melodious song created by him as in monsoon we can’t feel droplet of rain such romantically without the song “Rim Jhim Gire Sawan”.
