Softube’s Weiss EQ MP
Softube has introduced the Weiss EQ MP plugin, its latest collaboration with Weiss Engineering. EQ that’s “honed for professional-grade use”, is built on the minimum phase algorithm of the classic Weiss EQ1 and is designed for surgical mixing purposes. This is a seven-band EQ that promises transparency and accuracy for the mixing specialist. Enhancements include continuous unstepped frequency parameters and expanded filter slopes, and you also have the bonus of a resizable GUI with dark mode. Despite its power, the learning curve is said to be practically nonexistent.
Softube and Weiss Engineering’s EQ MP is optimized for mixing specialist, with low latency. EQ MP uses the minimum phase algorithm and the same dual seven-band setup with the expanded parameter set of EQ1. With continuous frequency parameters, expanded filter slopes, and GUI with night mode, it is a Weiss technology.
The Weiss EQ MP is now included with the Weiss EQ1, and existing EQ1 owners will receive the
EQ MP for free. Weiss Engineering has been a trailblazer in digital audio equipment design since 1979. The results of its focus on pioneering digital audio equipment for mastering studios are legendary. Softube is proud of a relationship with Weiss Engineering that dates back to 2008.
