The History Of Queen: A Comprehensive Timeline From 1969-Today
Few rock bands have had the influence of Queen. From their early days as a blues-rock band in the late 1960s to their stadium-packing tours in the 1980s, they’ve always managed to stay ahead of the curve. A recent study found that the approximately 2,000 songs on Queen’s greatest hits album are played more often than any other artist on British radio. This makes perfect sense when you consider that the band has been around for more than 45 years and has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. From their very first single in 1969 to their most recent album released just last year, Queen has had an undeniably lasting impact on rock music and beyond.
