Zen Go Synergy Core
Antelope Audio is bringing their Synergy Core technology to a more compact and affordable audio interface in the form of the Zen Go Synergy Core. Antelope Audio is renowned for creating a more professional end of the market when it comes to audio interfaces. This 4-in/8-out device is USB-C bus-powered and includes two discrete “console-grade” mic preamps. Zen Go Synergy Core is our first ever bus-powered desktop interface packed with tech featured only in high-end professional studios. It gives instant access to premium sound quality even at home.
The rear panel features a large rotary control which in isolation controls the amount of monitor level. Mute option possible for the output signals. is to allow you to assign a mic pre, a compressor, an EQ, and possibly even a gate if need be, all with next to zero latency and monitor in real-time. The combo XLR jacks also support line-level and Hi-Z instrument inputs. The AD/DA conversion, with converters that offer up to 127dB of headroom, and 24-bit/192kHz performance available. The Zen Go also comes with 37 Synergy Core effects, which can be used in real-time. Zen is carried out on your interface, freeing up CPU and RAM resources, and latency when monitoring, tracking, or mixing is said to be imperceptible.
Inside Zen Go’s palm-sized chassis lie two chips – one DSP and one FPGA. This combination forms the basis of ‘Synergy Core’, Antelope’s onboard processing platform. Synergy Core combines the strengths of both types of processing (hence ‘Synergy’) to power a growing suite of Antelope’s analog-modeled effects at nearly zero latency. The two chips onboard Zen Go can reportedly process up to 32 simultaneous instances of effects.
This is the most appealing feature of the Zen Go. Setting up the Zen Go is very easy. Just log into or set up an Antelope Audio account, download the Mac or Windows installer, and follow the prompts. It is now fully supported with the new M1 Macs.
